Lately
Posted: March 7th, 2011 | Author: Muhamad Iman Usman | Filed under: Notes, Personal | Comments OffHi everyone, it’s nice to greet you all here. I do really appreciate to all of your comments and messages sent to me, which is really valuable to build up my activism better. Lately, I’m busy with all of campus stuffs, since i had to catch up with my study that i already missed due to my exchange program. This semester seems more challenging, since we are demanded to get a much deeper understanding about international relations concept. Another thing that make it also challenging is the fact that i have to conflict with my study time, eventhough i only took 21 credits for this semester, but it seems hard to manage. I also still busy with all stuffs related to Indonesian Future Leaders, and other organizations where I involved. I’m happy to find that many young people around are really interested to join our activism and be part of the change that we are going to see. Unfortunately, in Indonesian Future Leaders, we already had enough staffs to manage all of the things we need. We just afraid if we receive more, there will be overlapping in some divisions. But still we need you to be our volunteers in our various programs. So, please keep updating the info by following us in twitter @ifutureleaders or through http://indonesianfutureleaders.org
Another thing, I and other youths here are really excited to make Parlemen Musa (Youth Parliament Indonesia) comes true. Last week, we just had our first big meeting, and all of people were very enthusiastic with this program. We hope youths around Indonesia also feel the same thing. Be ready, we already prepared visit to your town!
Oh ya, I just decided not to prolong my duty as Youth Advisor at United Nations Population Fund Indonesia. Some are regret with my decision, since they think that it’s such a golden opportunity, and i just missed it. It’s also hard for me, but yeah, i have to be realistic and not to push my body too hard. I know that i really want to work in UN at the future, I know that I always happy to work in all UN Mandates, but I also know that I already managed 13 things at the same time, and I have to eliminate one by one. Though, it doesn’t mean that i cut all of my connections and works with UN. We still cooperate in other ways.
Last, now i am preparing all stuffs related to my departure to New York in next 2 weeks. I am very excited and eager to go, while at the same time also afraid to know the fact that i’ll miss my mid semester test. Maybe i can postpone test for some classes, but some also are really hard to negotiate. Yeah, this time, I really have to choose. and I think, this time i hope i know which one best for me.
Iman
